Profit 4 Good Network
A global directory highlighting businesses where 100% of net profits are dedicated to charitable purposes.
About the Network
In 2026, Community Transformation Trust (CTT) launched the Profit 4 Good Network. The initiative provides a central directory of businesses and social enterprises from around the world that dedicate 100% of their net profits to charitable purposes, poverty relief, and community transformation.
The directory currently features philanthropic businesses across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
The 100% Commitment Standard
There are many ways that businesses make positive contributions to society, but the Profit 4 Good Network specifically highlights businesses that make an absolute commitment to charitable impact:
- 100% Dedicated Net Profits: All net profit generated by the business is directed towards charitable causes and poverty alleviation.
- No Shareholder Dividends: No dividends or profits are distributed to private investors or shareholders.
- Fair Business Operations: Reasonable (market-rate) employee salaries and normal operational expenses are exempted, but 100% of surplus earnings after expenses are locked for public good.
Supported Business Models
The Profit 4 Good Network showcases diverse business structures that meet this high standard, including:
- Charity-Owned Companies: Commercial trading arms and businesses owned entirely by charitable trusts and non-profit organisations.
- Social Enterprises: Purpose-driven businesses structured so that all profits support community development and social causes.
- Philanthropic Commercial Enterprises: Businesses whose founders and owners have committed 100% of company earnings to making the world a better place.
