Transformational Community Development

What is Transformational Community Development (TCD)?

Transformational Community Development (TCD) is an empowerment model pioneered by Global Hope Network International (GHNI). It is designed to help villages transform their own communities and break the generational cycle of extreme poverty.

Rather than providing short-term aid, TCD coaches local leaders to form sustainable committees in five critical areas: water, food, wellness, education, and income. Local villagers identify their own challenges, co-invest their own resources (time, talent, and energy), and execute solutions. Villager ownership is central to TCD, ensuring communities become fully self-reliant and self-sustaining.

Equip local farmers in Uganda - primarily women - to lead lasting change through a 5-day TCD (Transformational Community Development) course. Run by our local partner GHNI, the program covers full training, materials, travel, and meals, and gifts each participant a goat upon completion to launch their independence.
