Our Global Impact

Community Transformation Trust is committed to the direct relief of poverty worldwide. By targeting resources into clean water, health, and economic empowerment, we build long-term self-reliance.

Clean Water Initiatives

Providing Clean Water & Safe Sanitation

Safe water is the foundation of health and economic growth. Our water initiatives focus on targeted clean water delivery through household water filters in Egypt and community borehole drilling with WhoLives.

Water Filters in Egypt

In crowded settlements like Ezbet El Nakhl and Ezbet El-Haggana in Cairo, tap water is unsafe and disease rates are high. For just $120 NZD, we provide a multi-stage water filter to a household, dramatically improving health and sparing families from debilitating kidney and digestive illnesses.

WhoLives Village Drill Wells

In Kenya and Zambia, we support community water development using the innovative, human-powered Village Drill. Instead of using heavy, costly machinery, local teams drill clean water wells in remote locations, bringing reliable and affordable clean water access directly to villages.

Transformational Community Development (TCD)

Rather than delivering short-term aid, TCD works with community committees to systematically address five key areas: Water, Food, Health, Education, and Income.

We fund several equal TCD initiatives globally, supporting community development work across projects in Uganda, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Ezbet El-Haggana TCD project in Cairo. Each project is of equal importance to our mission.

We also provide ongoing "seed funding" to enable GHNI to hire workers who can go out and assess new villages for suitability. These assessments identify villages that have high needs, suitable local village leaders, and a willingness and ability to engage in a community development project. The ultimate goal is enabling and working alongside communities in need so that they can be empowered and fully self-sufficient.

Economic Empowerment

Empowering Women through Micro-Enterprise

Real transformation occurs when families have a sustainable source of income. We provide revolving micro-loans (averaging around $200 NZD) to women in Egypt, empowering them to start or expand small home-based businesses.

These small loans have achieved an incredible 100% repayment rate. As each loan is repaid, the funds are passed forward to help another woman start her journey toward economic independence. Initiatives include sewing classes, clothing repair shops, small retail kiosks, hairdressing, and bakeries.
