Water Filter (Egypt)

Donate a micro-enterprise loan ($340 NZD) to empower women in Egypt (delivered via our partnership with GHNI). As loans are repaid, they’re used to fund new loans for more women.

WHOLives - Clean Water

WHOlives provides interest-free loans to impoverished communities so they can fund the drilling of a borehole in their village. Once the loan is repaid, the funds are re-loaned to another village—creating a self-sustaining cycle of clean water access. Local teams trained in using the Village Drill install the wells, and each community contributes a portion of the cost, fostering ownership from day one.

To view the current projects they’re fundraising for go to wholives.org/our-projects/ —most are located in rural Kenya and Uganda. When the full amount is raised for a project, the funds are loaned to the village and used to drill a new borehole.

You can also support any of these projects by making a bank transfer directly to our account. Please fill out the donation form below, and then make the payment via your bank (put your name and the purpose of the donation e.g. "water filter" in the reference section when making your payment).

Your donation will go to the project you specify. You will receive a donation receipt at the end of the financial year covering all donations made during the year.

You can choose to donate to any of the following:

Transformational Community Development (TCD) Projects via GHNI: Help fund new village projects. Each project costs approximately $25,000 NZD per year and typically runs for 3–5 years, after which communities become self-sustaining. We will keep you updated when your donation is applied to a specific project and let you know how it's being used.
Micro-Enterprise Loans (Egypt): $340 per loan to empower women in Egypt (via GHNI).
Water Filters (Egypt): $120 per filter to provide clean water for households in Egypt.
WHOlives (Clean water) - providing loans to villages to help them pay for boreholes to be drilled.
