August 2025: Two workers from Mughende Women Farmers Association (MUWOFA) received TCD Training . CT Trust provided 3,680,000 UGX ($1750 NZ) to pay for their travel and accommodation. Their goal is: "to help us initiate a TCD pilot project in rural communities of Kasese District in Western Uganda. The aim is to begin a long-term, locally owned transformation process addressing food security, water access, women’s livelihoods, and community empowerment."
December 2025: 115 women farmers (and several men) from 18 villages participate in a 5-day TCD training course. CT Trust covers accommodation, travel, venue hire, training materials, and catering—totaling approximately USD $13,600 (NZD $22,000).
57 goats gifted to participants: 57 goats were gifted to the participants after they completed training (1 goat per participant - some participants haven't received their goats yet). The goats were $80 NZD each, so the cost for the 56 goats was approximately $4560 NZD.

We have committed to providing 300 water filters to families in need in Ezbet El Haggana village in Egypt (near Cairo). With the help of several friends (and our partner International Barcodes Ltd), we have been able to fund 200 water filters so far, and they are being installed in homes with the help of our local partner GHNI. The water filters cost $120.00 NZD each. We funded 100 water filters earlier in 2025 (approx. $7,500 USD) and another 100 in October 2025 ($7,500 USD donated via International Barcodes Ltd).
The water filters have been a great help in improving the wellbeing of members of the community: For example, Umm Israa struggles with kidney problems and dangerously high levels of salt in her body. Clean filtered water was essential to her recovery. A water filter has now been installed in her home, giving her and her daughter safe water to use and drink.
We are also funding 20 micro-enterprise loans in Egypt via GHNI ($4,400.00 USD donated in August 2025 - $200 USD approx. per loan). Their current repayment level is great (100% repayment rate, and average time for repayment is 10 months).

In 2025, we launched The Open Table NZ to connect open, progressive Christians across Aotearoa New Zealand. The Open Table NZ is a place for people drawn to a generous, thoughtful Christian faith - one that makes room for diversity, questions, and compassion. The first National Gathering will be held in Auckland in June 2026, offering a welcoming space for shared meals, reflection, and conversation.

In 2025, we launched the Strategic International Donors Network (SIDN). The goal is to connect New Zealand donors who are committed to making high-impact contributions to international causes. The network provides opportunities for collaboration, shared learning, and strategic giving, helping donors engage more thoughtfully with global development challenges. The first SIDN annual gathering is planned for Spring 2026 in Auckland.

In 2025, we also launched the Ethical Transparency Alliance. The project advocates for ethical transparency in retail products and supply chains, working with partners and standards bodies to support systems that enable more informed and responsible purchasing decisions.
