About Us
Community Transformation Trust (CTT) was established in 2020 by trustees David Allis, Simon Forrest, David Beard, and Mark Christensen.
David Allis and his wife Margaret have visited some of the projects that CTT supports:
- In 2024 they visited Hagar's projects in Vietnam (Hagar is a charity that works in SE Asia to fight human trafficking & domestic violence, and help survivors heal and rebuild their lives).
- In 2025 they visited GHNI's projects in Egypt, and saw how micro-enterprise loans and water filters were helping families in poor communities.
David and Margaret also run the Better World Initiative charity which was established in 1997 (their business Barcodes Ltd gives 100% of its profits to Better World Initiative for use in charitable projects in NZ and overseas).
David has two purpose driven blogs - A Better World (about faith, justice, and making a difference in the world) and Better-water.info (which explores innovative water solutions to improve global access to clean water.).
